Ben launched his career at Claridge’s under the guidance of Martyn Nail. In November 2016, he opened Perilla with Matthew Emmerson, earning critical acclaim. Perilla was featured in the National Restaurant Awards’ top 100 list from 2017-2022, placing 16th in 2022. He was named the 2017 Breakthrough Chef of the Year at the Food & Travel Awards and was a Forbes 30 under 30 finalist in 2018.
